It’s been very difficult for Renee and Leo to cope with the tragic death of Renee’s father. They had gone through the whole range of emotions so far, being together and being apart. They always preferred to be together at the end. 

How to deal with stalkers and thieves while coping with a tragic family death? 
​Renee and Leo publicly cut ties with stalkers and thieves. Renee took a one year breavment leave. She spent the year writing about her father. Leo continues to work on his films. Time magazine said that the One Battle After Another actor,  Leonardo DiCaprio, is its 2025 Entertainer of the Year for coping with pain while staying on top of his career.
